Republicans have seethed with fury over the loss of the Illinois 14th ever since Jabba quit and forced a special...um, I mean Hastert...a special election, which was won by Bill Foster, a physicist and more importantly, a DEMOCRAT. This is important because a democrat has NEVER won the 14th before.
(Jabba had to q....I mean Hastert...he had to quit because of the Tom Foley Page Scandal. Hastert said he didn't know anythng about Foley sending dirty e-mails to congressional pages or even being gay. When that was was shown to be a crock, he quietly announced his current term would be his last. That didn't quiet the scandal though, and Jabba got outta Dodge.)
Last night, Jabba Jr.....I mean Ethan Hastert...lost to Illinois state Sen. Randy Hultgren.
Hutgren won by eight percentage points--54%-46%--while not exactly a landslide, this was a serious mudhole stomped in Jabba Jr's chest.
