God, it is really REALLY fun catching GOP Cocksuckers being hypocrites.
Today's Obituary: Rep. Mark Souder!
Souder is an evangelical Christian who wore his faith on his sleeve when he was first elected in 1994 as part of the GOP takeover of Congress. He was a vociferous opponent of Big Bill when his politically-motivated impeachment came around and a staunch advocate of 'abstinence-only' sex education and refusing permission for gays to marry.
But the Impeachment of Big Bill made some folks take that fabled 'first stone' and fire it right back at his accusers. Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! asked Rep. Bill McCollum and Souder if they'd ever had or are having, an extramarital affair. McCollum answered the question in the negative. Souder hung up.
Turns out he did so for a reason. Souder was banging Tracy Jackson, a married woman who appeared on his staff in 2004, for years.
Souder confessed to the affair and resigned his congressional seat after it became obvious that news of the affair would matrialize. He also hinted at some unnamed legal question that surrounded the affair that he claimed he would be exonerated of.
