The Color of Money - #40

#40 SHAWN BROWN
MAYOR ST. PETERS, MO

They do love their money.

They love it so much, they make it a requiment for doing government
business. Mayor Brown did in St. Peters, MO in June 2006.

Brown threatened Redflix Traffic Systems, which had won a contract to
install and maintain digital red light and speeding enforcement systems in
the town, with vetoing a bill approving the contract unless they paid him a
bribe. Redfix presented him with a check for $2,750. Brown cashed it.
What he didn't know was that Redfix had been cooperating with law
enforcement. Brown was arrested and pled guilty to one count of bribery.

According to the St. Louis Business Journal, Brown got 18 months in jail,
(14 of which he's served as of now) pays restitution of $2,750 and two
years of supervised release.

Do I have to mention he's a GOP cocksucker?
